(Scattered Circular Polarisation - Raman Optical Activity)

This spectrometer measures the vibrational raman optical activity spectra, generated by a 532 nm laser excitation, of chiral molecules or its secondary structures in liquid phase, water or in organic solvents from 100 to 2550 cm-1. It permits, for example, to determine the absolute configuration of a chiral molecule, and its conformations, by comparison with theoretical calculation, or also, to follow the handedness of nanometrical helices as bigemini tartrates.
